I am a visual artist living and working in Austin, Texas. I work in a traditional representational style using oils. I enjoy painting a range of subjects but my main source of inspiration is landscape painting. People have described my work as experiential. I believe in being ever present with each experience that makes up the stories of our life. Whether it is the human figure, still life, or landscape, I paint from life almost exclusively and believe that the act of being in direct contact with my subjects transfers emotional responses in real time, into my paintings.

I love the outdoors and seeing new places so it was a natural evolution to incorporate plein air painting into my practice. I travel several times a year to paint and document my travels through studies and sketches that often become larger works when back in the studio.
